If you already have a password for your 55Photos account, you can change it anytime through "Change password" menu.
55Photos shows your photos by pages. By default a page contains 100 photo thumbnails. Once thumbnails and photo details are loaded, they are cached.
So if you go back to a previous page, it's loaded from the page cache rather than from a photo service. Once you leave album, the cache is reset.
To refresh photos on the current page, just click "Reload photos". Photos will be reloaded from a photo service.
You can use drag-select by clicking and holding down the left mouse button while dragging the cursor over photos you want to select.
Selected photos are marked by a tick automatically.
You can click on every photo you want to select. Click again to deselect a photo.
You can click "Select All" to select all photos on the current page. Please note that "Select All" does not select all album photos.
Click "Deselect All" if you want to reset selection of photos.
You can drag-and-drop selected photos to album/folder/collection/user account/page/group/event. If your drop target is valid, you will see
If you are dropping photos on anything except album, you will be asked to create a new album.
You can also use "Transfer Wizard". Go to "Photos" menu and choose "Transfer Photos". Select a transfer destination and click "Next".
If your selected destination is not an album, you will be asked to create a new album.
Every time you initiate a transfer, you have an option to create a new album. You just need to tick the "new album" check-box.
If you are initiating a transfer to folder/collection/user account/page/group/event, the "new album" option is selected by default and not shown.
Select photos or an album. Go to "Photos" or "Album" menu and choose "Delete Photos" or "Delete Album".
The list of details available for browsing and editing depends on a photo service. Not all details can be edited.
For example, this Flickr photo has many details but only "Title", "Description" and "Tags" can be amended.
To begin editing details click "Edit Details".
Once you switch to the edit mode, you can edit text fields. You cannot edit tags but you can remove tags and add new ones.
To finish your edit session click "Cancel Editing" or "Submit".
Most of photo services allow you to edit album details however not all details can be edited. For example, you can edit "Name" and "Description" of a Flickr album but you cannot change "Created" date.
Most photo services allow you to grant access permission at the album level only. However Flickr allows you to grant various permissions and set license for each photo individually.
VK allows you to change album access permission.
55Photos works with five different online photo editors. You can try all of them and choose the one that suits your needs. To start editing a photo first click on a photo to load it into "Photo Details" pane then select a photo editor from "Edit Photo" menu.
To finish photo editing in Ribbet click "55Photos" button in the top right corner.
To finish photo editing in PicMonkey click "Save" button.
To finish photo editing in FotoFlexer click "Save" button.
To finish photo editing in Pixlr go to menu "File" and select "Save". Click "OK" in the "Save image" window.
To finish photo editing in Pixlr Express click "Save" button.
After you finish your photo editing session, you will return to 55Photos to select a destination album for the edited photo. Please note that you can select any album from any linked photo service, not just original album. You can also create a new album.
55Photos always tries to preserve details of the original photo when you save the edited copy. In the example below the original photo is stored on Flickr but the edited copy is being saved to Picasa album. 55Photos is using description and tags of the original photo. You can edit photo details in "Save Edited Photo" window before you click "Submit".
Please note that you can transfer and download photos from search results like you do from your own albums. You can also start a slideshow of found public photos.
Please respect copyrights if you make copies of publicly available photos.
